Trying Los Balito's - Formerly Los Roberto's
This was my first visit to this location and my first time eating at Los Balito's since the name changed from Los Roberto's. I'm happy to report that the food is just as excellent as before!
I've been eating at the Bitters Road location for many years, and the food has always been fantastic. Everything I tried here tasted just like what I'm used to at the other location. Even with the name change, the quality and prices have remained the same, which was great to see.
Service is consistently good, and the food usually makes it to the table within 5–10 minutes. I ordered one of my favorites, the Asada Mini Tacos (five), with all the toppings and added cheese. A little lime juice and salt finished them off perfectly, making for a great late-night meal. My friend, who had never eaten here before, agreed that the food was delicious and enjoyed sampling about three different sauces from the salsa bar.
Another favorite of mine is the Carne Asada Fries or Guisada Fries. They're essentially fries loaded with taco toppings and cheese, and they're a meal in themselves. A guy sitting at the next table was enjoying an order and mentioned that they were one of his favorite things here. I've had them twice, and both times there was more food than I could finish.
Having a place like this open 24 hours is fantastic. The food is excellent, customer service is good, and the prices are more than fair for the generous portions.
As long as the quality and prices stay consistent, I'll keep coming back whenever I'm hungry late at night and near one of their locations.— Paul
