  Visited One Evening Looking To Try Something New

  With a limited selection of places to eat in Ruidoso, especially later at night we decided to give the place a try.
  
  We drove down to Lincoln Country Grill, without a clear idea what to expect. The menu had an assortment of items on it, as well as a specials menu at the front register. The range of items was all over the place, from southern style food, seafood & Mexican food, to burgers and steak.
  
  We all picked an item and I decided to go with the enchiladas. I usually avoid Mexican food outside of South Texas, but I had a good experience at another place in town, so I guess I was hopeful.
  
  My enchiladas were pretty bland, the whole plate wasn't overly flavorful or impressive. The other people dining with me said some of their food was decent. But no one said they had anything they thought was great.
  
  I was less than impressed by the food I ordered, service was lacking, and food was a bit bland. I almost felt like such a small place with such a wide menu, couldn't possibly turn out great food across the board. But in a small town where you have limited variety, that might be the real draw here, even if the items are just average.
  
  No one asked to eat there again on future trips, so I assume they didn't have anything either they really liked. I will say the cashier was very friendly though and prices were reasonable. I just wish the food had been better.
