A Unique BBQ Experience, Mainly Because I Visited On A Holiday
This place is all about the experience. Its remotely located out in the Texas countryside.
Whats interesting is that Sat Lick BBQ in Driftwood is BYOB. People show up and unload the ice chests. The waiting are is a huge outdoor area with tables under oak trees. There was live music while we were there.
Be prepared for crazy long wait times if you visit on a holiday. I waited over 2 hours to be seated on one visit.
Salt Lick is known as for offering up authentic Texas style BBQ. Prices are a bit on the upper end price wise with the average meal in the $20-$30 range.
While I don't feel this is absolutely the best BBQ in Texas, I do feel its one of those places you have to visit and experience at least once.— Paul
