  Consistently Good Greek Food with Friendly Service

  I've visited this Papouli's location about half a dozen times and have eaten at Papouli's more than 10 times over the past three years. The food and service have been pretty consistent, both at this location and throughout the company.
  
  When dining here after 7 p.m., my food usually arrives in about 10 minutes, which is a pretty reasonable wait. I typically order the build-your-own plate with double gyro meat and either fries or pasta salad. It also comes with a decent-sized side salad, making it a satisfying meal.
  
  The gyro meat is one of my favorite items here. If you're not especially hungry, the gyro sandwich is a good option, and the lunch special is worth considering if you visit during lunchtime.
  
  On my most recent visit, I ordered the gyro meat along with a steak kabob as my two main items. The gyro was as good as usual, but unfortunately, the steak kabob was a disappointment. When I placed my order, the staff recommended medium-rare, which was exactly how I wanted it prepared. However, when it arrived, the steak was well done, charred on the outside, completely lacking any pink inside, and very dry. The rest of the meal was good, but the overcooked steak was a letdown.
  
  Service here is generally very good, and the kitchen staff often adds a little humor to the experience. They'll announce orders like they're calling a game at a sporting event or jokingly ask for authorization before providing extra sauce. Those little interactions give the place some personality.
  
  I also appreciate how accommodating the staff are near closing time. I've eaten here close to closing on at least two occasions and never felt rushed to leave. They've even offered to-go cups and asked if I wanted a final drink refill before cleaning the machines and putting away the tea.
  
  Despite the disappointing steak kabob on my latest visit, Papouli's remains a place I'd recommend. The gyro meat is consistently good, the prices are reasonable, and the customer service is generally excellent. If you're looking for satisfying Greek food without spending a fortune, Papouli's is worth checking out.
