  Great 24 Hour Mexican Food. Good Flavor & Good Prices.

  If your looking for good late night Mexican food, this is a great place to go. Open 24 hours, with a wide menu and fair prices.
  
  At 3am the place was crawling with people. Google shows thats the busiest time of day for this place. Service was a bit slow when we arrived, but it was pretty busy with only 2 people to work the tables and register.
  
  The menu offered a full selection of Mexican entrees including menudo & lengua. For my first visit I decided to order the enchilada plate with a puffy taco.
  
  The food didn't take too long to come out, and everything looked really good. I tried the enchiladas first, they were pretty good, I wouldn't put them in the top 5 of San Antonio, but they were decent enough. Some of my rice was a bit overcooked and crunchy, and the puffy taco was different. It had a very large shell, thick batter, and really didn't stand out flavor wise. My friend had recommended the carne guisada, maybe next time.
  
  Now with all that said, compared to all the Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, this place is average for what I ordered. But when you take into account they are open 24 hours. This is one of only a few places you can get a full menu of food any hour of the day.. It would make the top 5 for late night Mexican restaurants.
  
  I've lived near and frequented this neighborhood my entire life and never heard of Ric-Ron's Taco House. A friend standing outside another place I normally eat said "well, its here I-Hop or Ric-Rons" and thats how I found out about this place.
  
  I will be returning to try some more items, maybe tacos next time. If your on the southside of town late at night, this is a nice little place to grab a bite to eat.
