Thai Tea Snow Ice - Had To Try It
Its an item I first came across in Houston's Bellaire Chinatown. Its thin shaved ice cream, with a base that is more water than milk in comparison to American ice cream.
The shaved ice cream melts in your mouth as its paper thin and piled up. You top it off with a selection of fruits, or gelatin, and then a syrup of your choice. My favorite syrup is always the condensed milk.
The picture attached is from a few visits back, I tried the Thai Ice Tea flavored ice cream, with condensed milk on top, and some egg custard on the side. It was pretty good, a change from vanilla I usually order when I find a new place with Taiwanese ice. The flavor was recognizable as Thai Tea, but was not as strong of a flavor as I would have liked to be.
I'll return to this location again, as the menu offers some interesting items including waffles with toppings. They offer quite a few flavors of Taiwanese ice.
If you've never had this before you have to try it. It may be your new addiction.
