Good Mexican Food With Different Flavors
I've eaten here several times over the years while working in the area, and it has always been a convenient spot to stop for a good, reasonably priced Mexican meal.
On one of my visits, I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The mole was probably the biggest surprise for me. The recipe here is closer to the more traditional Mexican and South American styles of mole, using a rich cocoa flavor as part of the sauce. I wasn't expecting that depth of chocolate flavor when I first took a bite, so it definitely caught me off guard. Once I got used to the flavor, I really appreciated the difference from the sweeter or more simplified mole sauces I've had at other restaurants.
Over the years, I've also had several people I worked with in the area recommend this restaurant specifically for its breakfast tacos and breakfast plates. That's one part of the menu I've never gotten around to trying, so I can't personally comment on those, but the recommendations have been consistent.
The prices are about what I would expect from a small, local Mexican restaurant, and the portions are a good size for the price. Service has also been one of the positives. I've eaten here for lunch many times and have never experienced a particularly long wait for my food. Orders come out quickly, which makes it a convenient option when you don't have a lot of time for lunch.
Overall, this is a solid local Mexican restaurant that I've returned to several times over the years. The quick service, reasonable prices, and good portions make it a practical lunch stop, and the chicken mole enchiladas are worth trying if you like the sweeter chocolate style mole.— Paul
