Great Ramen, Some Of The Best I've Had!
One of the better ramen restaurants I’ve eaten at anywhere. This place can get extremely busy on weekends, especially Friday and Saturday nights, so be prepared for a wait if you’re visiting during peak hours.
The menu offers a great variety of dishes, and I’ve actually watched other people eating things I didn’t recognize from the menu that looked so good I now want to come back and try them myself. If you’re dining alone, you probably won’t have the table to yourself for long. It’s a small restaurant, and you’ll likely end up sitting next to someone else. Be prepared to either keep to yourself or strike up a conversation and maybe make some new friends.
The ramen itself tastes fresh, with noodles that have a good texture and broths that are flavorful, rich, and very hearty. I’ve taken people here who thought the broth was actually too rich for their taste, so that’s something to keep in mind if you prefer a lighter ramen. Personally, I enjoy the richness, especially during the winter. There’s something about a hot, filling bowl of ramen that makes for an excellent meal when it’s cold outside.
The toppings and other ingredients have always tasted fresh, and the portions are filling without being excessive. Prices are fair and generally in line with what I expect to pay at a good ramen restaurant. Service has also been friendly and fast, and the staff is more than willing to answer questions or explain anything on the menu.
They also have a nice selection of drinks that you typically only find at Asian grocery stores or more authentic Asian restaurants, which is a nice addition to the meal.
I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys ramen, especially someone who has never had authentic ramen before. People sometimes wonder why they would pay around $9 or more for a bowl of ramen until they experience the difference between a basic bowl of noodles and properly prepared ramen. This is definitely a place worth trying if you want to see what the real thing is like.— Paul
