  Mexican Style Seafood Plates

  I've been eating at J Anthony's for several years, and this location has a decent-sized dining area. The food has also been pretty consistent with what I've experienced at their other locations.
  
  The portions are good, and the prices for seafood are generally better than what you'll find at many other places. If you've never eaten at J Anthony's before, the menu has a Mexican-style influence that makes it a little different from your typical fried seafood restaurant. The plates come with Cajun rice, which is similar to Spanish rice and has a little bit of spice to it, along with a habanero pepper.
  
  The fried fish is crisp and has good flavor. It doesn't taste like the processed or cheap fast-food fish you get at some other places. The pieces are better quality and have a good texture. The fried shrimp are a decent size as well, with a nice crispy batter and good flavor. That's something I appreciate, since the flavor of the shrimp can sometimes get lost when restaurants use frozen shrimp.
  
  Overall, the quality of the seafood here is pretty good compared with many other seafood restaurants. The combination of decent portions, reasonable prices, and better-quality seafood makes J Anthony's a place I continue to come back to.
