Decent Meal, With Some Average Sides
I rarely eat at Outback Steakhouse, but this visit was a spur-of-the-moment decision when I was looking for something different.
I ordered the steak and shrimp, requesting my steak medium-rare with grilled shrimp. The steak came out cooked perfectly, which was the highlight of the meal. The shrimp were decent, but nothing great.
The sides were less memorable. The mashed potatoes weren't somewhat plain, and the serving of asparagus was pretty small. The meal as a whole was okay, but aside from the steak being prepared correctly, nothing really stood out.
Service was also just average. Despite the restaurant having only a few customers, it seemed like the staff might have been short-handed. At one point, my drink sat empty for a while before the waiter returned.
Overall, this was a decent dining experience, but not one that left me particularly impressed. I wouldn't rule out returning again, but there's nothing from this visit that would bring me back soon.— Paul
