The Cheese Enchiladas Here Never Disappoint
It's been a while since my last visit to Blanco Cafe, mainly because I don't get to the areas where its locations are very often anymore. I've only eaten at this particular location twice, as I used to frequent the downtown and Blanco Road locations more regularly. Even so, one thing I know is that Blanco Cafe serves some of the best cheese enchiladas in San Antonio.
On this visit, I decided to try the beef fajita and cheese enchilada combo. I wasn't sure if I'd ever ordered the fajitas here before, although I probably had at some point. With my visits becoming less frequent, it's hard to remember everything I've tried over the years.
Despite the restaurant being almost full, the food came out fairly quickly. The cheese enchiladas were just as good as I remembered, with plenty of sauce and cheese that was fully melted. The rice and beans were flavorful, and fresh tortillas were brought to the table as well.
The beef fajitas were also pretty good. They came with a small amount of onion, although I couldn't tell if it had been grilled or cooked on a flat-top. Regardless, the fajitas were enjoyable and complemented the rest of the meal nicely.
Service was good, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Blanco Cafe has maintained much of what made it a favorite in the past, and that's a good thing. When a restaurant has been doing things right for years, there's no reason to change what works.
I'll always recommend Blanco Cafe to anyone looking for good, reasonably priced Tex-Mex, especially if cheese enchiladas are what you're after.— Paul

Food Was Great - Some Of The Best Cheese Enchiladas Around
It's been a while since I last ate at Blanco Cafe, but I'm happy to report that the food is just as good as I remembered. I ordered the cheese enchilada plate, and it brought back memories of why I enjoyed this restaurant in the first place. These are easily some of the best cheese enchiladas in San Antonio!
Service was fast, the prices were fair, and the portions were very generous. Years ago, I used to frequent another Blanco Cafe location near my workplace and would regularly stop in for their lunch specials. It's great to see that the restaurant is still delivering the same quality of food after all this time.
Blanco Cafe remains a solid choice for good Tex-Mex food at a reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, especially visitors to San Antonio looking for a taste of the city's local Mexican food scene.— Paul
