  Decent Seafood For A Fast Food Place - And Very Affordable

  We don't have Captain D's where I'm from, but I've seen their commercials on TV quite a bit. So when I was near this location, I decided to drive a little out of my way and finally give it a try.
  
  Since I don't normally have a chance to eat at Captain D's, I figured I might as well try a little bit of everything. I ordered a combo plate that included fried fish, shrimp, stuffed crab, hushpuppies, coleslaw, corn, and a side of lobster bisque.
  
  Needless to say, I had leftovers. The fried items were really good, especially the fish and shrimp. I'd say Captain D's is a step above your average fast-food seafood, although it's not on the same level as a dedicated seafood restaurant. You can tell the fish is processed, but the flavor was still good. The stuffed crab was decent, while the lobster bisque was just OK. I wasn't particularly impressed with it and probably wouldn't order it again.
  
  The menu has a pretty extensive selection, and since this visit I've actually visited another Captain D's in a different city and tried even more items.
  
  Service at this location was good, and the food came out fairly quickly despite it being during the lunch rush. Everything was fresh, the combo was a good size, and the price was fair for the amount of food.
  
  I'd definitely return to this location and try some of the other items on the menu.
