Really Good Crawfish Etouffee, Had A Creamy Texture
Was just passing thru town and found this place on Google. It actually came up when I searched for BBQ, but I thought why not try it anyways?..
The insides had an old time bar vibe going, and definitely reflected a Louisiana style bar and restaurant. Very similar to some of the french quarter places Ive been.
I ordered the crawfish etouffee and the food came out fairly quick. I have to say though, there was only one other vustomer and they had just opened for the day.
The etouffee was good, not quite the best Ive ever had but maybe in the top 5. The waitress said it was the best thing on the menu and a very popular item.
It was a large portion, hot, with good flavor, it seemed like there might be cream and a lot of butter in it, as it was smooth and had a rich flavor.
This item would be great on a cold day and I'd definitely order this item again.
Service was a bit spotty, but it appeared they were preparing for an event of some kind.
They started off great by unlocking when they saw me walk up 2 minutes before opening, but then switched waitresses twice, left me sitting with no refill on my drink and then had someone I think was the bartender close my tab because none of the wait staff was around.
Ultimately I was a single diner, with a small tab, and they were prepping for an event. Staff was busy and so it was understandable, especially since I arrived right at opening.— Paul
