  Decent Mini Tacos, But Meat Flavors Comingle On The Grill

  Not my first time eating at this location, so I knew somewhat what to expect. The tacos and service here are pretty consistent, but I have had variation in the meats flavor. Sometimes excellent and sometimes average to poor.
  
  I ordered the asada mini tacos with everything on them. The cook was generous with the toppings, piling on plenty of onion and cilantro along with a good portion of sliced radish and cucumber.
  
  Overall, the tacos had good flavor. My biggest issue was with the meat. The meat tasted like it was precooked and set aside until needed, so it didn't have much char or that fresh-off-the-grill flavor I really like in carne asada. The meat was fairly plain on its own and could have benefited from more browning and seasoning.
  
  I've also noticed that the grill doesn't appear to be cleaned between the different types of meat being cooked. Because of this, some of the flavors seem to carry over from one meat to another. At times, the asada and other meats can pick up some of the stronger flavor of the lengua. I've noticed the same thing at both locations I've visited. Many times the asada has the flavor of the mixed-meat tacos which should have noticeably different flavors.
  
  The inside of the restaurant was decently clean, especially considering the steady number of people coming and going while I was there.
  
  Overall, these are still very good mini tacos and easily make my top 10, but probably wouldn't quite make my top five. With fresher-grilled meat, a little more char, and better separation of the flavors on the grill, they could rank considerably higher for me.
