Outsides Looked Closed. Buffet Was Medium Size, But Average Flavor
I've passed by this place a few times while working in Alice, and finally decided to see if it was even open. The few times I passed by the parking lot had 1 or 2 cars, but there were tall weeds and grass growing around the building and parking. The palm tree out front had limbs laying under it. I wasnt really sure. Signs were faded, it honestly looked like a closed business.
The insides were considerably better than the outsides, I was seated and went to see what was on the buffet. For a small town, the buffet had a decent selection of items. plenty to to choose from, flavor was good on some items, fair on others.
I tried a bunch of items, favorites were the honey shrimp & the baked seafood, but I tried pepper steak, sesame chicken, bacon wrapped jalapenos, low mein noodles, green beans, pot stickers, wontons, egg drop soup, and several other items.
The price for the buffet was fair, and the waiter service was good.
I asked a local about the buffet, and they instantly commented "ohh the place that looks closed?". Their advice was to go at lunch and not dinner, as they said the food was fresh, and would be better than dinner.— Paul
