Hadn't Eaten Here In Years. The Food & Service Is Still Good
I’ve eaten here several times now, although it had been quite a few years since my previous visit. It’s nice to come back to a restaurant that has been in the same location for decades and find that the food is still consistently good.
On my most recent visit, I ordered the Fat Gyro combo, which came with a generous amount of meat in the gyro, a decent serving of fries, and a salad. The gyro was packed with meat and had good flavor. The fries were a little more cooked than I prefer, but everything else on the plate was good. The food came out quickly, and the service was good throughout the meal.
One of the things I remember especially well from this restaurant is the dolmas. I got them one time served warm with a creamy sauce over the top that I believe had a lemon flavor. I later confirmed it was called avgolemono, the traditional Greek egg-and-lemon sauce. It was the first time having eaten warm dolmas.
The restaurant also offers lunch specials, and I remember that they offered a lunch buffet at one point. I’m not sure if the buffet is still available, but the lunch specials are another option worth checking out.
Overall, this is a solid choice for authentic Greek food. The portions are good, the food comes out quickly, and the service has been consistently good during my visits. After returning here following several years away, I’m glad to see that it has maintained the quality that brought me back in the first place.— Paul
