Worst Mexican Plate I've Ever Had. Sour Beans & Bland Enchiladas
This was my first time eating here. I ordered three cheese enchilada plates, but unfortunately, the meal was a total disappointment.
The beans on all three plates were sour and ended up having to be thrown out. The cheese enchiladas themselves didn't have much flavor either. The cheese was liquidy, and not the way cheese gets when its baked. It was like microwaved Velveeta cheese. The flavor was very plain and the sauce did little to make them taste better. The Spanish rice was probably the most interesting part of the meal, as it was made with long-grain rice, which was something I hadn't seen in Spanish rice before.
I actually found out about this restaurant through a Restaurant.com coupon. The coupons are supposed to be valid without an expiration date, but when I tried to use mine, the restaurant told me they no longer accepted it.
The total for the three plates was about $24. That's not an unreasonable price, but considering the quality of the food, and having to throw away the beans, it wasn't a good value at all.
Unfortunately, I won't be returning. This was quite possibly the worst cheese enchilada plate I've had.— Paul
