Tried The Friday Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Special
The teriyaki chicken lunch special is only available on a particular day of the week, and I'd never had a chance to try it before. Today, I decided it was finally time to give it a shot.
The plate looked pretty appetizing when it arrived, featuring a large grilled chicken cutlet covered in teriyaki sauce. There was plenty of sauce, not only coating the chicken but also spilling over onto the rice underneath. The chicken had visible grill marks and a nicely browned exterior. It was moist inside and had been sliced into strips after cooking. The portion size was generous enough to make for a filling lunch.
I'm not usually much of a chicken person, but I enjoyed this dish more than I expected. The teriyaki sauce provided good flavor, and the chicken was moist and cooked well. While it wouldn't rank among my favorite entrees here, it was a satisfying meal, and I'm glad I finally had the opportunity to try it.— Paul

Good Daily Lunch Specials With Large Portions & Combo Option
I ordered the beef and mushroom combination lunch special, which came with sweet & sour, but subbed the sauce for lemon chicken sauce. The portions were surprisingly large for a lunch special, especially considering the price was only $8. I also added a cup of egg drop soup, which was very inexpensive.
The egg drop soup was good, with plenty of flavor, and came with crispy noodles on the side. The fried rice was decent but could have used a little more flavor.
The beef and mushrooms had a good flavor. It wasn't anything amazing, but it was a solid dish for such an affordable lunch. The lemon chicken was served as a large patty sliced into strips, rather than the smaller individual pieces you might find at other restaurants. The sauce for it had good flavor.
One thing that stood out was how fresh everything tasted. The food came out hot, and with service this fast, it was clear the dishes had just been cooked rather than simply being reheated or served from a batch prepared earlier, if it was I couldn't tell.
The lunch specials here offer excellent value. With generous portions, quick service, and freshly prepared food, an $8 combination plate is hard to complain about. It's a good option for an affordable lunch.— Paul
