Amazing Brunch Buffet - Fantastic Presentation, Selection & Service

An absolutely amazing brunch experience at The Broadmoor. This was something I had wanted to do for a long time, and I finally got the chance to experience it while traveling for my birthday. After hearing about the legendary Sunday brunch for years, I had pretty high expectations going in, and the experience still managed to exceed them.

The selection of food was incredible. There was such a wide variety that my friend and I spent more than an hour eating and trying to sample as many things as possible, yet we probably didn't even get through half of what was being offered. There were separate breakfast and lunch selections, made-to-order stations, seafood, sushi, cheeses and cured meats, pastries, desserts, and plenty of other options that made it nearly impossible to decide what to put on the plate.

One of the highlights was the **made-to-order Bananas Foster**. I watched as the bananas were peeled and sliced right in front of me before being flambéed with liquor and served over scooped ice cream. It was one of those little experiences that made the brunch feel like much more than simply walking through a buffet line.

The dessert selection was equally impressive. I tried several different desserts, including various panna cotta, cookies, cakes, and other pastries. Everything looked beautifully prepared and carefully presented. I finished my meal with a **pecan sticky bun covered in crushed pecans and caramel**, and a **Orange Marquis Cake**, a rich chocolate cake topped with an orange citrus drizzle.

The cheese and charcuterie selection was another highlight. There was a beautiful display of artisanal cheeses and cured meats, including prosciutto and other aged meats. One of the most memorable parts was the **fresh honeycomb**, with honey slowly dripping from a large slab of comb into a bowl below. It was such a great presentation and another example of the attention to detail throughout the brunch.

There were also breakfast and lunch stations with **made-to-order omelets and pasta**, along with numerous other hot and cold selections. Everything was artfully displayed, and the food had an exceptionally fresh quality to it. I had read the chefs spend the full week receiving, prepping and planning the single day event.

Whether it was the cheese, cured meats, seafood, or baked goods, everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Some dishes were simply very good, while others were genuinely impressive.

Even the entrance to the serving area made an impression. It was headed by a large display of cocktail shrimp and oysters along with a carved Halloween ice sculpture. It immediately set the tone for the experience before we had even started filling our plates.

The dining room itself wasjimpressive. High backed wood chairs, chandeliers, and a large glass wall overlooking the lake and mountain backdrop created a beautiful setting. It felt elegant without making the experience feel stuffy or uncomfortable. The staff was also excellent. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal, including our waitress who brought us coffee, and a small birthday dessert at the end of the meal.

My friend and I were honestly amazed by the sheer amount of choices available. We kept going back and trying different things, trying to make sure we experienced as much as possible, but there was simply too much to get through in one visit. That's probably the biggest challenge with a brunch like this, you leave knowing there were dozens of things you never even got around to trying.

The entire experience was fantastic, from the setting and service to the presentation, variety, and quality of the food. This was easily one of those meals that becomes part of the trip itself rather than simply being somewhere you went to eat.

I absolutely can't wait for the opportunity to do this again. It was an amazing experience from start to finish.
