Great Selection Of Toppings & Really Good Sushi Flavor
These are some of the best-tasting poke bowls I've had anywhere, with flavorful ingredients and combinations that keep you coming back for more. The poke bowls are packed with flavor, and there's enough variety to make multiple visits worthwhile.
Beyond the poke bowls, this restaurant is also known for its "Sushirito," a sushi burrito that's popular on the West Coast. At the time of my visit, this was the only place in San Antonio offering them, making it a unique option for local sushi lovers.
The bowls come in two sizes, and you get to customize your meal by choosing your fish, ingredients, sauces, and toppings. There's a great selection to choose from, including pickled daikon, seaweed salad, crab salad, kale, and plenty of other options. The crispy garlic and toasted sesame seeds are particularly good additions that really bring the flavors together.
The spicy tuna is excellent and easily one of my favorite items here, I never make a poke bowl without it.
Prices are fair for the amount of food you receive. A bowl with two proteins offers a substantial serving, roughly comparable to eating a sushi roll and a half. Service is also quick. Your bowl is assembled as you move down the serving line, so you're usually sitting at a table with your food within just a few minutes.
Between the fresh ingredients, excellent flavors, customizable bowls, and unique Sushirito option, this is a place worth returning to whenever you're craving sushi with a little variety.— Paul
