Good Thai Tea Boba Tea, Over 150 Options On The Menu
I tried this place for the first time and was pretty pleased with the experience. The drink portions are a good size, prices are fair, and the selection is impressive. The menu on the wall listed 153 different items, covering a huge variety of drinks and also breaking down the ingredients so you can get an idea of what you're ordering.
For my first visit, I kept it simple and went with a plain Thai tea with tapioca pearls. When the drink came out, I was surprised to see they were using the plastic sticky lids that you commonly see at restaurants and drink shops in Chinatown. This was actually the first place I've seen using them in San Antonio.
The tea-to-ice ratio was excellent. The cup wasn't packed full of ice, in fact, it was probably only about half ice, with the rest being tea and tapioca pearls. The tea was a bit on the weaker side, I like my Thai tea super sweet and creamy. But it still had good flavor and there was also a generous amount of tapioca. I had so many pearls that I still had quite a few left in the bottom of the cup after finishing the tea.
The menu is extremely extensive and includes a few food items in addition to the drinks. There are plenty of options to choose from, including black teas, green teas, smoothies, and even Japanese yogurt drinks. Custard and tapioca pearls can also be added to drinks, giving you plenty of ways to customize your order.
For a first visit, I was impressed with both the selection and the quality of what I ordered. I'll definitely be coming back with friends so we can try some of the many other drinks and combinations on the menu.— Paul
