2nd Visit - Here To Try The Bulgogi Korean Burger
I returned after someone told me they were offering a Korean Bulgogi Burger for a limited time. I couldn't find any mention of it on the signage or menu, but the waitress confirmed they had it available. The food came out fairly quickly, and the wait service was decent overall. There were a few times when we were checked on when we didn't need anything, but then once we were finished and ready to leave, it took a while to get someone back to the table.
The Bulgogi Burger was a bit of a letdown however. It lacked the flavor I was hoping for, and didnt really taste anything like bulgogi or Korean food for that matter. I was hoping for pickled cucumbers, bulgogi meat that had an authentic Korean BBQ sauce on it, but this burger was more like shredded steak meat similar to a Philly cheese steak, with a BBQ sauce on it.
I also ordered the queso dip, which was decent, but not much too it. It was a large basket of tortilla chips, enough for 2 or 3 people at least and 3 services of corn and bean dip, queso, and red salsa.
Overall, I enjoyed the food, but I still found the prices to be on the high side. $13 for a hamburger, including specialty burgers, feels expensive when the burger doesn't come with any sides and doesnt really taste like what its supposed to be.
Price is probably the biggest factor keeping me from visiting more often, especially since I live about half an hour away. Both of my visits have ended up costing around $25–$35 before tax and tip per person, with only one drink included. The food has been decent on both visits, but at that price point, it's harder for me to justify making the trip very often when I haven't found any amazing items yet.— Paul

First Time Visiting - Ordered Cheeseburger Eggrolls, Seafood Boil & Fried Green Tomatoes
This was my first time eating at Lucy Cooper's, and I'd heard a lot of good things about the restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. The portions tend to be on the smaller side, so you'll probably need to order a few different items to make a full meal. The food came out hot, and the flavor was good across the different items we tried.
The fried green tomatoes were really good, with a nice crispy crust. They weren't the best I've ever had, but they were definitely worth trying, and the portion size was actually pretty generous.
We also ordered the cheeseburger eggrolls, which were good but didn't really stand out enough that I'd order them again. They were mostly ground beef and cheese inside a wrapper, which was almost like eating nachos in eggroll form.
The seafood boil was also good, although I thought it could have used more spice. It was half price on Friday, but I wasn't told that the Friday version didn't include sausage which was a little disappointing since it ended up being just shrimp, potatoes, and corn.
I ordered a mixed drink, which was Sprite mixed with midori and pineapple juice, but the glass was more than half full of ice. It was probably the least value item of the meal.
Overall, there were several things we tried that I enjoyed, and there are still quite a few interesting items on the menu I'd like to try. I'd consider coming back to see what some of the other dishes are like, but the smaller portions and slightly higher prices rack up for a decent meal here. This visit was about $45 but I did share the green tomatoes and eggrolls.— Paul
