Decent Mongolian BBQ, Good Quality Meats

I've been eating at Genghis Grill locations for several years, and this location has been pretty good. Customer service has been good, and I've had consistently positive experiences during my visits.

I was a little disappointed when they discontinued the all-you-can-eat option, but one of the waiters gave me a helpful tip: put the vegetables in the bowl first and the meat on top. That allows you to fit quite a bit more food into the bowl, and he was right. Since doing that, I usually end up with so much food in a medium bowl that it's more than I can eat. They've also recently added some new meat options, including Korean Beef and bacon. The medium bowls come with two starches, and cabbage is available both on the buffet and as a starch option. Since you can get cabbage from the buffet, I usually choose something else as one of my starches and use that space in the bowl for another ingredient. I also like the new juice drinks they're offering, which come with free refills. The Coconut Honey Fizz is my favorite, and this location will even let you change flavors when you get a refill.

If you've never eaten at a Mongolian BBQ restaurant before, there's a little bit of a learning curve. One of the biggest mistakes people make is not adding enough vegetables and sauces. Make sure you have enough oil, garlic, green onion, and regular onion to give the bowl plenty of flavor. Otherwise, you can end up with food that's dry and lacking flavor.

While Genghis Grill isn't my favorite Mongolian BBQ in town, it's still a good option. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get, the service is good, and this location stays open a little later than some of the others, which is convenient if you like eating later in the evening. If you've never tried Mongolian BBQ before, I'd recommend giving it a try.
