Tri-Tip Beef Dip Was Underwhelming.
First time visiting this location. The inside was a bit dark, and unfortunately, the food left me somewhat underwhelmed.
I ordered the French Dip roast beef sandwich, which was labeled as tri-tip. I wasn't impressed with the quality or flavor of the roast beef. The meat itself was not particularly flavorful, and the bread was a little chewy. The au jus was also disappointing. It was somewhat plain, salty, and had a slight bitterness to it. I've had some really good au jus made with beer, including Guinness, but this one tasted more like it came from a grocery-store powder packet.
Others at my table ordered the roast beef specials, which seemed to be a little better than my sandwich, along with the pizza bread appetizer and a few other sides. The pizza bread was decent, and overall, the food wasn't bad, but nothing really stood out.
It had been quite a while since I'd visited another location, and I felt like the menu options were less appealing than I remembered. Prices also seemed a bit high for what we received. In fact, the highlight of my meal was probably the pizookie, and that wasn't even part of my order, it came with one of the other guys' specials.
Overall, it was an ok meal, but the value for the price & flavor wasn't there. I'm not sure I'll return to this location, as the combination of the price and the underwhelming food just didn't make the experience stand out.— Paul
