  Pretty Good Bulgogi. First Time Eating Here.

  I've been shopping at this Korean Grocery store off and on for over 20 years now, and I had thought the back room was a video rental at one time. In the recent visits the last couple years, I noticed there was a restaurant in that room. I finally stopped to try some of their food after many many visits.
  
  Ordering & Service
  I walked in, didnt see a menu, saw people working in the kitchen and sat down. After a few minutes I walked up to the counter, and waited for someone. When I asked for a menu, the lady behind the counter pressed a remote control and turned the TV's on that displayed the menu above the counter.. The entire area was about 7 tables, with 1 cook and 1 cashier/food prep.
  
  What Others Were Ordering
  The bulgogi was fairly priced, but didnt say if it came with anything, so I just blindly ordered, and took a seat. There were 3 tables with people waiting. 5 orders of food came out before mine, and it took about 20 minutes to get my food. I saw huge plates of Galbi ribs come out that looked amazing. I saw one person order Bi Bim Bap, which also looked good, and another order 2 bowls of some kind of ramen or soup.
  
  The Food
  When they called me to the counter a sizzling iron skillet of bulgogi, cooked with onions and carrots was waiting, a bowl of rice, and sides of beansprouts, kimchi, carrots & cucumbers, and and an item I had not tried before and couldnt identify. (I've since been told it was probably dried squid in red chile)
  
  I tried the Bulgogi first, and it had very good flavor. It was definitely hot, steam pouring off the plate, the portion was decent, not undersized, but not overly large either. The marinade was really good, some of the better bulgogi Ive had in San Antonio. Next I tried the bean sprouts, they were good, no strong flavors (they are made with sesame oil, scallions, salt and sugar). Next up the kimchi, I'd never tried the kimchi from the grocery here, they sell what appears to be a house made Kimchi, and its much more affordable than other places. It was surprisingly good. It wasnt overly sour, or bitter, or spicy.. It was kind of a middle ground of flavor. Basically if you dont like this one, you probably wont like any kimchi. Then there was the cucumber/carrot side, which is pretty plain as its just soft veggies in an oil mix (and it was as expected).
  
  Last up I tried the unknown item, (which had a semi-fishy taste to it) I assumed maybe it was fish, or something in fish sauce. But its possible it was dried squid. I cant say this side is one I would eat again, but I tried it..
  
  Overall the food was good, I would eat here again, the Galbi looked amazing, I'll definitely go back to try it. If anything I may do a little more of my Asian grocery shopping here, so I can grab a meal all in one stop.
