Some Sliders Better Than Others. I'll Be Back To Try More

The first thing that grabbed my attention was they are open 24 hours. With all the places that ended their 24 hour operations during Covid, It was nice to see a new place open and offer this. The 2nd thing that caught my attention was the custard shakes.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I intended to order from the drive thru, but then when I went online I saw they had an app and it accepted promo codes. I parked and tried to find any codes, but failed, then I tried to order from the app, which also failed. I got a blank white screen on the checkout process. I ended up going thru the drive thru, and just ordering there.

    Menu Options
The menu had way more items than I had seen advertised. The first item that I knew I wanted to try was the crab cake slider. Then I saw the ribeye slider, a cod fish slider, spicy falafel, mushroom swiss, and the boom chicken slider. They have 3 kinds of fries, including Cajun & House seasoned, and limited time flavored shakes.

You can buy the sliders individually for about $4 each, or a combo box with 2 sliders, fries and drink for $11. Premium sliders are an additional $0.79 each. Shakes are a $4 upcharge.

I decided to try the crab slider, the boom chicken slider, the Cajun fries, and a soda. The order took about 7 minutes. I decided to park and take it inside as I wasn't sure how messy this was going to be. The combo to go came in a large cardboard box. Another thing was I forgot to ask for sauce.

    Crab Slider
I went inside asked for the "savvy sauce" sat down and tried everything. First up was the crab cake slider. It had great flavor, the patty had a crispy outside, the insides were hot but soft and the boom sauce they put on it went nicely with the flavor of the patty. Honestly this patty was better than many crab cakes I've got at seafood restaurants. The lettuce and tomato complimented it well, and the bellpepper and onion inside were very apparent, still had some crunch to them, and were visible after biting into the sandwich.

    Boom Chicken Slider
The boom chicken slider was less impressive. I felt the coating was overcooked, it was crispy, but also a bit chewy, some of the chicken tore as I bit into it and peeled off due to toughness. I felt the sauce combo could have been better, and the lettuce didnt add much flavor at all on this slider.

    Cajun Fries
The fries were average. They were crinkle cut, but just seasoned with powder after they were fried. My biggest criticism was that the flavor was weak. I ended up dipping my fries in savvy sauce I asked for, which did a much better job flavor wise. (Its much like a thin thousand island) while the boom sauce is like (a chipotle mayo).

So overall, the crab slider was great, I'd order it again, the boom chicken, I wouldn't order again. The fries were a bit disappointing. I'll probably return, especially since they are open late, but I'll be trying some of the other items that caught my attention. Maybe 3 sliders and skip the fries.

    Price
Price wise, I'd consider it a tad high, the sliders arent tiny, but they aren't full size burgers either. At $4-4.79 each its a bit pricey. The shakes are $6, and it would be really easy to spend $20 a person for 2 sliders, fries and a shake.

    Service
Service was decent, but while I was in the drive thru, they failed to ask if I wanted any sauces, they didnt ask for my app code to earn rewards, when I changed my mind and decided I wanted to come inside, they stood at the window with their back turned towards me the entire 7 minutes I waited, having a conversation with another employee. They did greet me and notice I was coming in (they probably thought I was coming in to complain about something), and they got my sauce for me immediately when I asked at the counter. So it was a mixed experience service wise.

    Final Score
I gave them a score just under a 9, partly because of the price, and also because the chicken sandwich was not only unimpressive, but overcooked. I think with the right items, this score could improve. I'll be returning to try some more items.
