  Addicted To The Sweet & Spicy Pecans - You Can Sample Over A Dozen Items.

  Stopped at this store for the first time few years ago, and having been stopping here every trip between San Antonio to Houston since.
  
  The Potter Country Store has a great selection of Pecan and Texas products, including spices, honeys, praline, fudge and more. My favorite item here is the Sweet Heat Pecans. What's great about this store is nearly all the edible products are available in self serve sample jars.
  
  The **Sweet Heat Pecans** are unlike any I've had elsewhere, as these have a hard caramelized coating, but also have a spice that isn't just hot, but sweet & salty as well. I searched a lot of places to find something similar but failed. These are my favorite candied pecans anywhere.
  
  The ingredients on the package mention cayenne, and on my last bag I dumped the crumbs out and tasted the powder left behind. Thats when I realized the seasoning on these is very similar to Lucas Chile powder. So if you've candied pecans, and you've had Lucas before, you might have an idea what these taste like.
  
  The store is packed with tons of items, I've visited probably a half dozen times now, and every time I see something I didnt see the previous visit. The pralines they have here are also great, and available for sampling.
  
  The store is just off I-10 in Schulenburg TX, maybe 3 buildings over from the interstate. If your passing by, I highly recommend making a stop. I can almost guarantee you will be hooked on something, and leaving with a bag of it that wont last all the way back home.
