    Good Chinese Food. Some Say Its The Best They've Had Since NYC. So I Had To Try It.

    I've eaten at Delicious Garden a few times now, and originally heard about this place from people looking for what they called "New York Style Chinese".

    Every visit I've tried something different, and while none of them have become a favorite, all of them have been pretty good. If theres one item I would recommend, it would be the shrimp toast. I've never had any like it, and it makes for a great appetizer.

    The menu has a pretty wide selection of items, so Im hoping eventually I'll run across that amazing item, because so far everything has been good to better than average.

    I've tried the mongolian beef, but lacked the grilled flavor I was looking for, the serving size was decent, lots of onions and beef. But just not up there in the top tier of mongolian beef Ive had.

    The general shrimp serving size was decent for an item that is bacially all shrimp other than the batter and a few brocolli garnishes. The sauce was good, a bit more tangy than regular general chicken sauce, but the batter was not crunchy but an in between soft and crisp.

    The crispy beef which was my favorite entree so far had good flavor, texture, and a nice presentation with all the multicolored peppers. The batter isnt really crispy, but more like a soft coating on all the meat, that is hard to explain. It adds a mushy texture to the outside of the meat. But the overall flavor is pretty good.

    Delicious Garden is located just off 1604 on Redland, on the corner shopping strip. I feel the prices are fair, portions are decent size, and service is decently fast. I usually see a lot of to go orders being picked up while dining. Its a little different from other places, but not drastically. I feel the flavors here on many items are a step up from most places.
