  Returned To Try The Bo Luc Lac or Shaking Beef

  I've eaten here a few times now, and I'll be honest, every time I've had the shaking beef. Theres only a few places locally I've found it, and this is the 2nd best so far.
  
  Pho Star has a menu that spans a few nationalities of food, including Chinese, Vietnamese noodle and soup entrees, and some Thai entrees.
  
  My most recent visit I tried the fried spring rolls for the first time, and as an appetizer were really good. Service here is usually decent, and prices aren't super cheap, but not overly high either, with most entrees in the $11-16 range.
  
  If you've never heard of shaking beef, and most people haven't, I stumbled onto this item also called Bo Luc Lac, pronounced exactly as spelt. The translation shaking beef comes from the cooking process. I asked a waiter about this at another restaurant. They told me the vegetables and beef are put into a wok and shook constantly over a flame, as the sauce and other items are added. The meat is generally cooked medium and is a tender cut of steak.
  
  This restaurants is a bit different from my favorite, but still pretty good. Its served with a brown sauce, onions that are lightly cooked, lettuce, tomato, and steamed rice. Other restaurants sometimes include cucumbers, lime, salt and pepper.
  
  As far as Vietnamese restaurants go, this one falls somewhere in the middle of the ones I've tried. Presentation here is better than others, while flavor here is a bit less impressive in comparison to a few, while serving sizes are better than other places. I cant speak for any items other than the shaking beef and spring rolls however.
