Seguin Chinese Buffet has Harder To Find Items With Good Flavor.
I've been eating here for a few years now, it was one of the first buffets to reopen after Covid. The food has been decent, its not fantastic, but as far as buffets go its better than average.
The selection of items here is pretty good, the buffet includes a sushi bar, a mongolian BBQ, and bluebunny ice cream bar. The food selection has a variety of items, and includes some you don't find at other places, like baked cream corn.
On my most recent visit the buffet had boiled crawfish. I usually avoid these at buffets because they are usually unseasoned and bland, soggy, and just overall disappointing, but I noticed they had some corn and potatoes mixed in here. There was also something that looked like crushed peanuts on top, which Im still not sure was peanuts, garlic or a combination. But the corn was amazing, the crawfish were not soggy and were actually seasoned with some spice. I also noticed they were being brought out every so often, and the little bit of sausage I had was great as well.
I tried a variety of items, including the corn again, and everything was decent. I wont say this buffet is totally different from others, but they do have some items here that are better than buffets in San Antonio. The sushi selection isnt large, nothing overly fancy, but its rolled fresh as it gets eaten and what they do have is generally good.
Some of my favorite items here are the cheesecake, baked corn, mongolian pork, sushi, baked seafood, custard cups, pot stickers, and coconut shrimp.
The price for a buffet here is $16 for adults, for dinner or weekends.— Paul
