  • ★★★★★ Dolma Gyro Kafta Kabob Mediteranean Salad Baklava Visited May 20, 2026

Best Mediteranean Buffet I've Been To - Dolmas Kafta Gyro Baklava all Included.

I've eaten at Dimassi's about 9 times now, and while the price has increased, and the buffet has remained pretty consistent. I do feel the food quality has declined a bit, the Greek salad has changed, and some of the other items seem to have changed in preparation, but it is still the best Mediterranean buffet I've been to.

Dimassis's does have multiple locations, 2 in San Antonio, 1 in Austin, and over 6 in Houston. I have only visited the I-10 location in San Antonio.

The buffet has a huge selection of items, theres no way I could remember them all but heres a quick summary that is far from complete.

(Dips) Hummus, Spicy Hummus, Tzatziki, Baba Ghanoush

(Rice) Lentil Rice, Dill Rice, Vermicelli Rice

(Meats) Gyro, Sumac Chicken, Baked Chicken, Kafta Kabob, Curry & Meat Balls, Dolmas & More

(Salads) Broccoli, Arugula, Pasta, Spring, Kale

(Desserts) Kheer, Baklava, Namoura Semolina Cakes

(Veggies) Grilled, Spinach, Cauliflower, Okra, Eggplant

    Falafels

    Fresh Naan Bread

    Fruit

Favorites here are the semolina cakes, and baklava, the gyro meat, the vermicelli rice, the sumac chicken, dolmas with taziki and the greek salad.

The buffet items here are as good as many of the restaurant entrees I've had at other mediterranean restaurants. If you like this type of food, this place is a must try.

The buffet is self serve, the price includes your drink, items will be prepared for you fresh if requested or if items are empty on the buffet line, and again, the selection cant be beat. Staff does come around to check on tables, clear plates, and offer any service needed. They will alert you before clearing the buffet when it gets close to closing, as they keep everything refilled nearly all the way until closing, so don't think just because its after 8pm the food wont be fresh. They will make sure you have your plate loaded up before they start to "clear the line".

At the time of writing this, I believe the buffet is now about $18 during the week and $21 on the weekend. But when you factor in that this includes the drink & desserts, its not a bad deal.
