  Great Japanese in a Small Town. Was Pleasantly Surprised.

  I happened upon this place while working in the area. I had no idea the meal I was about to have was going to be probably the best Japanese Hibachi I'd ever get. This was one of those times I just picked a random spot that happened to be walking distance from where I was already at.
  
  The town of McAlester isn't huge, and it was surprising there was even a Japanese restaurant here, especially one with food that would beat nearly any other place I've tried.
  
  The insides were part restaurant, part bar. It was dimly lit, and at first I wondered if the food here was going to be any good. The menu was also largely sushi, which concerned me as well.
  
  I ordered the H3, Hibachi Steak meal, served with broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots & onion. Along with the entre the meal includes fried rice, a salad and clear soup.
  
  The steak and vegetables were worked perfectly. The meat was seared on the outside, medium rare on the inside, juicy, temperature hot, but not overcooked in any way. The meat and vegetables had amazing flavor, every bite was enjoyable, everything was seasoned to perfection and with the soup and salad the entire meal was a decent amount of food.
  
  The soup and salad was decent, the dressing was interesting, and while Im not a big salad eater, I finished this one.
  
  I boxed up some rice and steak I had left over and took it to go. Later that night I microwaved it at my hotel and enjoyed what was left of the meal again. I actually remember thinking I should have just ordered another plate to go. Yes, it was that good, I wanted to eat the same meal again 5 hours later.
  
  The photos look like your average hibachi, but the flavor was not. This is one of those items where the photo does not do the food justice at all. All I can say is if your in the area, you should stop here and try the steak hibachi. Hopefully my experience wasn't just a one-off experience. I know I will be returning if I visit this area again in the future.
