Tried The Carne Asada Tacos This Visit
I've been eating here for the past few years and have been slowly working my way through the menu. I've tried a variety of items over that time, and I've found that the grilled dishes and tacos tend to be the best options here.
On this visit, I decided to order two carne asada tacos. They came with generous portions of meat, with lettuce and tomato served on the side. The tacos were made with double tortillas, which tasted fresh, and the meat had good flavor. Both tacos were pretty good, and together they made a decent meal.
A friend had ordered a plate that came with rice and beans but didn't want the sides, so I added those to my meal. Between the two tacos and the extra rice and beans, I left completely full.
Service was a little slow this time, but everything came out fresh and tasted good. Portion sizes have generally been pretty generous across the menu, and over the past few years, I've found quite a few items here that I've enjoyed. It's a place where I've had some good meals, especially when sticking with the grilled items and tacos.— Paul

Ordered The Parrilladas Plate Instead Of The Parrilladas Mixta
This is probably my seventh visit here. I've gone through the drive-thru a few times for individual tacos, and the food has been pretty decent across my visits. However, several months ago, I ordered the large Parrilladas platter, which came with grilled fajita shrimp, beef, chicken, and sausage. Everything was fantastic, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to return with a friend to order it again.
This time, I ordered the Dos Laredos Plato, thinking it was the same platter I'd had before, but it turned out to be a different dish. For some reason, the Parrilladas platter isn't very noticeable on the menu, so I overlooked it when ordering.
The Dos Laredos Plato is a generous single-person serving of beef and chicken. While both meats had good flavor and the plate was pretty good overall, it wasn't the same as the larger Parrilladas platter I'd enjoyed on my previous visit. That platter included shrimp, beef, chicken, and sausage in a much larger portion, with enough food for about two people. It was the combination of meats and the larger serving that made that meal stand out.
My friend ordered the asada torta, which you can see in the photos, and said it was pretty good.
Now that I know the difference between the two, I'll make sure to look for the large Parrilladas platter next time instead of ordering the Dos Laredos Plato.— Paul

Menu Is Diverse But So Is The Flavor.
I've eaten here three times now, twice inside and one drive thru order and it seems your experience will really depend on what you order. I've had really good items, with huge portions and great flavor, and other items with small portions and average flavor and one item I wouldnt recommend.
On this visit I ordered the parrilladas, which I couldnt find listed on the paper menu. It was a huge plate of beef fajita, chicken fajita, shrimp and sausage, with peppers and grilled onions, a side of borracho beans, rice and salad.. It was so much food it could have easily fed 2 or 3 people, and came out sizzling. Definitely the best item I've ordered here so far.
When it comes to tacos & grilled meat items, this place does it right. Everything grilled has been great, but the cheese enchiladas was some of the least impressive I've had. So now I know, to stick to the grilled items here..
If your a family, I'd order 2-3 plates and share them, the meat comes loose in the container, with packaged tortillas separate from the plates, and theres usually enough meat for about 4-5 good sized tacos per plate. Sometimes I need extra tortillas.
Service when dining inside is pretty good, food comes out fairly quick, drive thru lines are usually only 1-2 cars long, prices are very fair, and the meat portions are huge, plus they're are open till 11pm.— Paul

Large Portions, Decent Service, But Enchiladas Weren't Great
I have a friend whose family used to eat frequently at another Los Dos Laredos location. After hearing so much about the restaurant and learning that his family prefers it over the places I usually visit, I decided to give it a try.
I ordered the cheese enchilada plate with a crispy taco. The food arrived quickly and was nice and hot. Unfortunately, I wasn't particularly impressed with the cheese enchiladas. They were a bit bland, the texture was odd, and the gravy on top didn't have much flavor. They just didn't come close toany of my favorites.
The rest of the plate was better. The rice and beans were pretty good, as so was the crispy taco. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the service was good throughout the visit.
The menu has a huge selection of items, so I may have better luck with something else. If I return, I'll definitely try a something other than the cheese enchiladas, the menu was huge so theres a lot to pick from.— Paul
