Best Priced AYCE Sushi in San Antonio. Lots of Selection.

Probably my favorite sushi buffet in San Antonio, I've been visiting Kobe Teppenyaki & Sushi for a while now. The variety offered is pretty good, quality is decent, and prices beat the competition. While it not the highest quality sushi, it is the best priced all you can eat sushi in San Antonio

All you can eat lunch is about $16 and dinner is $21. The only thing lacking here that other places offer is dessert items.

Included on the AYCE menu is miso and onion soups, nigiri, over 2 dozen rolls, and several side dishes including, crab rangoons, spring rolls, tempura shrimp, tempura vegetables, crab and squid salad, seaweed salad, and more. Also available are teppenyaki bowls, limited to 1 per person.

Service has been really good across maybe 6 visits, with mediocre service one time. Food generally comes out within 10 minutes. Its a good idea to mark your order before your out of food, so that the next order arrives as your finishing the first. Ordering a decent amount but not too much at a time ensures your food will come out semi-quick, as sometimes its held until several items are ready. You can re-order as many times as you want, so don't try and order everything at once.

The onion soup here is pretty good, the miso not as much, but still decent. One of my favorites items isnt even sushi, the Tokyo roll that has teriyaki beef in it is always on my first order as well as the honeymoon, a crab stuffed & deep fried jalapeno (I order 2 at a time).

The menu offers a decent selection of fried tempura rolls if thats your thing, as well as crab or panko topped rolls.

Everything is made to order so this is decent sushi, a step up from buffet sushi, but a step down from some of the higher quality sushi restaurants that cost at least 50% more.

If you like sushi, this is definitely a must try, its probably the best for the price I've had anywhere. I wouldnt say this is the place to go if you want high quality sushi, this is the place to go when you have a sushi craving, and you dont want to spend a bunch.

Another Visit To Kobe - Waiter Was Great

I've tried nearly half the menu at this point, and I still feel this is one of the best sushi buffets in town. Other than the lack of dessert included with the all-you-can-eat menu, it's hard to complain about what you get for the price. At around $20 for dinner, the value is hard to beat.

The sushi is definitely a step above what you'll find at a typical Chinese buffet. While I wouldn't necessarily put the quality on the same level as some of the higher-end sushi restaurants, it's still pretty good for an all-you-can-eat option. Considering the price, I think it offers one of the better sushi buffet experiences in town, even if it isn't necessarily the absolute best in terms of quality.

The service has been good as well, and my waiter tonight, Steven, was especially great. He was friendly, quick, and very knowledgeable about the sushi rolls. I even pulled up some photos on my phone from previous visits and asked him to identify the rolls, and he knew exactly what each one was.

Overall, if you're looking for an affordable way to enjoy a variety of sushi without paying higher-end restaurant prices, this place is definitely worth checking out. The quality is better than typical buffet sushi, the selection gives you plenty to try, and at around $20 for dinner, it's tough to beat the value.
