Items Sell Out By Noonish. Arrive Early To Get Your Meal
The brisket and sausage here are good, but the sides are where the restaurant is lacking. They have coleslaw, potato salad, mac-n-cheese, & pinto beans, but none of them were great. Other options like single serving chips were also available.
BBQ Meat items sell out, which can be determined by whether a flag is present on the sidewalk curb. If you arrive late (after 1pm) be prepared for minimal selection.
The brisket here is some of the best brisket I've had. I was introduced to Louie Muellers by a friend of mine who lives in the area. I love brisket that is moist, meaning it has some fat around the edges, and a good peppery crust or "bark" as they call it. Louie Mueller's has just that. Flavor packed brisket with an excellent peppery bark.
I've eaten at Louie Muellers twice now, and it would have been 3 times, but I arrived late one day, and the brisket was gone. You can always call your order in, if your traveling in from out of town.
I've tried the sausage, tenderloin and ribs, but ultimately the brisket is what brought me back.— Paul
