Decent BBQ, But The Free Pork Rind Appetizer Was Great
Decided to try this place in Memphis as it was highly rated online and I wanted to get some Memphis style BBQ while I was in the area.
The thing that stood out the most here was the basket of fresh fried pork rinds that were brought out at seating. Brisket and sausage were good, but not up to Texas BBQ standards. Sides were definitely more They tasted like they had been fried up fresh, they had a seasoning on them and were warm to the touch.
The menu was really southern here, with options like red beans and rice, and sides of cornbread served with your BBQ.
The brisket was a bit lean for my taste, wasnt super tender, but was cooked decently. The sausage was pretty standard, as was the mac and cheese and red beans and rice. I didnt find anything I felt was a really standout item, but overall the meal as a whole was decent.— Paul
