Amazing Brisket Tacos
Located just off the highway in a small building is Garcias Mexican food. Id driven past this place many a time, not giving much thought to ever eating there. The parking lot is small, with only about parking spots, while the interior has even less tables. But dont let the appearance fool you, this place serves up some quality brisket, I consider the fact theres also mexican food a bonus.
The Brisket taco at Garcias is hard to beat. Its better than any of them Ive had at dedicated BBQ restaurants, and the brisket inside it easily earns a spot in the top 10 BBQ briskets Ive had. The brisket is moist, not overly lean, with a nice bark all the way around. The guacamole just elevates that flavor to the next level. Everything about it was great.
This was my 2nd visit, so I decided to give the enchiladas a try this time. The #5 Mexican Dinner came with 2 cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, and gravy. The enchiladas were decent, the rice and beans average. The plate was definitely good enough to order again.
Service here is pretty good despite them being in a small space and usually juggling a flood of customers.— Paul
