  Tried The Sweet & Spicy Wings

  I stopped in today to try the chicken wings. The app had a coupon available, and since I've never tried Popeyes' wings before, I figured it was a good opportunity to give them a shot. I really like the sweet & spicy sauce they serve with the chicken strips, and the photo of the Sweet & Spicy wings looked similar, so that's what I ordered.
  
  The wings came out looking pretty good, although they were on the small side. They had a crispy crust and the meat was moist, but the amount of sauce was pretty minimal. Some bites had very little sauce, while others didn't have any at all.
  
  The sauce itself was actually the same sauce that comes in the small dipping cup with the chicken strips, but the wings could have used quite a bit more of it. I probably could have used another two dipping cups just to get the wings fully coated.
  
  Overall, I wouldn't say these were particularly impressive wings. They were small both in overall size and amount of meat, with the crispy coating making them look a little larger than they actually were. I'd put them around the same size as some of the wings I've had from other chain restaurants, such as Domino's.
  
  I'm not sure I'd order them again, especially considering the size and price. For me, the chicken strips are probably a better choice because they're more filling, and I can still get the sauce I like on the side and the coating is pretty much the same.
