An Average Waffle House Experience. Good As Usual
We dont have Waffle House in my part of Texas, so when I travel, and need a late night or early morning meal, I'll often look to see if theres a Waffle House nearby.
Waffle House serves up a pretty good breakfast combo that includes a decent sized steak, 2 eggs cooked your way, hashbrowns and toast.
The steak is consistent across locations, not super tender, but not tough, cooked to order, with good flavor. Its not an amazing steak, but its a pretty good one for the price. The meal as a whole is a favorite of mine, despite me not really being a breakfast person, because this meal falls between a dinner and breakfast plate. The fried eggs are the only item I would consider a true breakfast item.
Service at nearly all the locations I've visited has been pretty good, every once in a while I hit one that is a bit understaffed, or has employees out that day. But for the most part food comes out quick, cooked consistent and tasty.
For late night and early morning food, its a great place to grab a bite to eat, especially if you like steak for breakfast.— Paul
