Decent Flavor & Average Selections
I visited Cedar Mediterranean Grill with a friend when we were looking for somewhere new to try. We ordered the kibbeh to share as an appetizer, and for my entree I went with the beef kabob, while my friend ordered the chicken shawarma. Both entrees came with rice and a few side items, including dolmas.
The kibbeh seemed a bit overcooked, with the breading a bit darker than I usually see it. The dolmas were pretty good, though about standard as far as dolmas go, since I've only really had a couple that stood out to me at one or two other places. The beef kabob had good grill flavor, and the portion was about normal, not overly small or large, but enough that you leave full, especially with an appetizer added on top of the entree.
The menu itself wasn't huge, but had a decent number of items on it. The kabob was really the main thing that appealed to me, since it's something I've had at other places before and really enjoy when it's done right. This version wasn't up there with the best kabob I've had, but it was decent nonetheless.
It's not a meal that would make me drive across town for, but if I were in the mood for this type of food, it's a place I'd consider visiting again.— Paul
