  Totally Unimpressive Chinese, Even Compared To Fast-Food Chinese Only

  While visiting Las Vegas and staying at the Excalibur, I stopped by the food court and came across Pick Up Stix. I decided to give it a try and ordered a plate with Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and chow mein.
  
  Unfortunately, this was a pretty disappointing meal, especially considering that food court Chinese restaurants can usually deliver something reasonably satisfying.
  
  The chow mein was lacking in flavor and had an oily quality to it. The vegetables were particularly bland, and there just wasn’t much going on with the dish.
  
  The orange chicken was edible, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a go-to option for orange chicken, even among fast-food Chinese restaurants. The chicken was somewhat soggy rather than having the crisp texture I was hoping for, and the sauce was just okay at best.
  
  The Mongolian beef wasn’t much better. It was also fairly bland, with some pieces tasting noticeably salty. None of the three items really stood out, and there wasn’t much flavor or texture to make the meal memorable.
  
  Overall, this was probably one of the least impressive Chinese meals I’ve had in quite a while, including meals from other food-court restaurants. With so many options available in Las Vegas, I’d have a hard time choosing Pick Up Stix again.
