  The 1/2lb Hot Dog Is No More

  Wow how things have changed. No more 1/2 lb hot dogs.
  
  The hot dogs here were huge. Hanging off both ends of a paper plate, at least a foot long, covered in chili with only enough bun to get bread with about half the hot dog. For $1 this was a bargain, and was for over a decade. It wasn't even that they were good. It was enough food to fill you up, in a single item for $1 and it was available almost all day long.
  
  The Hot Dogs, Coffee & Donuts weren't the only thing to disappear. The small casino that used to be in this building is gone too. Now there are bowling lanes, pool tables, ticket counters, a Noble Romans pizza, and a Subway sandwich shop.
  
  I remember leaving Circus Circus to go play the slots in Slots of Fun, grab a cheap hot dog late at night, or grab some free coffee and doughnuts in the early AM.
  
  I barely recognized the place this last visit. Almost no one inside, the back part of the building looking almost abandoned, and the front now looking like a bar game room and nothing like the small casino it used to be.
