Decent Buffet, Not Great But Not Bad
I've eaten at Hibachi Buffet four times now, and the service has been consistently good on every visit. Empty plates disappear from the table as soon as I get up, and my drink is never left empty for long. The buffet is also kept well stocked, with plenty of food available. The only things I've occasionally seen run low are individual items at the sushi bar.
The selection is pretty good, covering the usual Americanized Chinese buffet favorites along with a few less common offerings, such as baked egg custard cups. The sushi selection is relatively small, with around six to eight rolls available at a time. The flavor is just okay, ranging from average to slightly above average.
Overall, the food is flavorful, although some dishes are a little blander than others. On every visit, I've found several items I enjoy enough to go back for seconds, which is always a good sign.
While Hibachi Buffet isn't the best buffet in town, it has one major advantage: it's the only buffet on the east side. The combination of a good selection, consistently attentive service, and fair prices makes it a worthwhile option.
If you're in the area and looking for a buffet, I'd recommend giving Hibachi Buffet a try.— Paul
