Staff Was Great, Arrived Late, Was Never Hurried. Food Was Decent, But Service Was Excellent
Let me start by saying I visited during the off-season in August. A lot of the restaurants and hotels were closed because the shows were on the off season and many of the performers were out of town.
I arrived in Branson fairly late, so by the time I was looking for dinner, my options were even more limited. Because of that, I'm not sure the selection or quality of the buffet was representative of what it would normally have. I arrived about 20 minutes before closing, and some items had not been refilled in a while.
The selection was about average for a Chinese buffet, with the usual options like beef and broccoli, cheese rangoons, egg rolls, fried rice, and the similar. There was no sushi or steak, which some Chinese buffets offer, but there was an ice cream machine.
What stood out most was the service. Even though it was near closing time, the staff continued taking care of customers and didn't seem like they were trying to rush anyone out. I overheard one of the waiters talking with customers about where he was from and how he ended up in Branson.
The staff also seemed helpful to people arriving late, talking with customers about local attractions and coupon books at the register and I ended up finishing my meal about 30 minutes after closing, and never felt like I was being hurried.
None of the food really stood out, but the buffet was reasonably priced and the service was friendly and attentive. Considering the circumstances of my visit, I would give it another try if I'm back in Branson, especially if I can visit during the regular season and see what the buffet is like when everything is fully stocked and cycling quickly.— Paul
