Trendy Coffee Shop / Bar
I'd describe this place as a trendy, hipster hangout that attracts a younger crowd, mostly high school and college-aged customers. It's essentially Starbucks meets a bar, with an extensive drink menu that includes coffee, mixed drinks, and a full bar capable of making a wide variety of beverages. This was my second visit, both times accompanying a friend who enjoys the place.
In addition to the drinks, they offer a limited food menu. Breakfast items are available until 11 a.m., after which the menu switches to sandwiches and salads.
On my second visit, I decided to order a mixed drink I used to enjoy while snowboarding in Colorado: hot chocolate with Chambord raspberry liqueur. Considering how expensive ski resorts can be, I was surprised that this place managed to be even pricier. My spiked hot chocolate came to $15 after the tip.
The presentation was probably the best part of the drink. The hot chocolate was steamed and served in a cup and saucer, with a few small animal crackers as a garnish. It looked nice, but the actual drink was only okay. Even on its own, the $5 hot chocolate wasn't anything particularly special, and the finished drink seemed to be missing something that would have made it worth the price. It just lacked the flavor Id had at the ski resort. I was more impressed with how it was served than with how it tasted.
If you're really into coffee, enjoy trying different drinks, or like having a place to hang out and read a book while sipping something, this spot might be right up your alley. Just be prepared to pay a premium, especially if you're ordering specialty or alcoholic drinks here.— Paul
