  Enchilada Gravy Is Amazing Here. Some Of My Favorite Cheese Enchiladas

  My family has been eating at Mexican Manhattan for decades, but I have only recently started eating there myself. Its a hidden downtown gem. Prices are very affordable for a good restaurant located on the Riverwalk.
  
  On a nice day outside, the patio area is a great place to enjoy your meal. It overlooks a less busy part of the Riverwalk. Theres also has a bar inside, so theres drink service to your tables as well..
  
  Prices are very affordable with most plates in the $8-14 range, and the serving portions are large. One of my favorite plates is the Manhattan Special. Its a large portion of rice and beans, 2 enchiladas, chili, and a guacamole salad (see attached photo). Along with your meal, complimentary chips and salsa are brought to the table, as well as tortillas. All in all, any plate you order is almost guaranteed to fill you up.
  
  There's also the Manhattan Royale plate, which is just like the special, but also includes a taco and tamale. This is such a large plate, its almost hard to finish unless your coming in super hungry.
  
  Service at Mexican Manhattan has been consistently good, and the food excellent. I rarely ever visit for dinner, but at lunch there hasn't been a wait any of the times Ive visited during the week.
  
  On a side note, there is validated parking located across the street in the Rand Building parking garage, just a few hundred feet north of the restaurant.
  
  I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to eat downtown, on the Riverwalk. This is more a locals place than a tourist spot, as its beyond the touristy area near the hotels and mall.
