Amazing Ramen - Butter Corn Miso Ramen
While in Vegas we decided to go get some ramen, a few places were on the map, and all with excellent reviews. Most these places are located in a "China Town" area about 5 minutes drive from the strip.
We traveled out to the area to try a place on the list, but found out it was closed that day. Ramen Sora was next on the list, and just a few buildings down, so thats where we ended up. This unexpected turn of events led us to what was some of the best ramen I've ever had. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated.
I ordered the butter & corn miso ramen, and a side of the killer spicy meat. I waited until about half way thru the bowl of ramen before deciding to add the killer spicy meat. I wanted to experience the regular bowl before turning it into a fiery bowl of noodles.
The noodles were firm, the broth complementing all the other items in the bowl, and as a whole was a really good bowl. No one item overpowering the others, with flavors and the textures creating a good mix of crunchy, soft, salty, firm and savory.
Now for the killer meat bomb, which immediately turned the whole bowl bright red, and almost made the ramen too spicy for me. Had I added it to a full bowl, I would have faired better, but it was still pretty good. I've managed to eat hotter but I wasnt expecting this kind of heat at a ramen restaurant.
Our table ordered a few extra sides of chashu that we added to our bowls, and several bottles of melon Ramune sodas. It was hot outside and these really hit the spot.
I felt the ramen was better than most the places I've tried. Prices were cheaper here as well. The ramen was excellent and service was good. It was a great experience, that Id be willing to catch a cab to experience again.— Paul
