Decent Hot Dog But Not Overly Different
This was my first visit to the Coney Island restaurant inside The D, and since Coney Island is apparently known for its hot dogs, I figured I’d order a Coney Dog.
The service was incredibly fast. They prepared the hot dog right in front of me at the counter, and in less than two minutes, I had my food in hand. The regular-sized hot dog came loaded with hot dog chili, onions, and mustard, with the toppings practically overflowing over the sides.
The real surprise was the hot dog itself. When I took my first bite, there was a distinct snap to the wiener that I’ve experienced with other hot dogs before, but nothing quite like this. Every single bite had that satisfying snap, and combined with the flavorful chili, onions, and mustard, it made for a really good hot dog.
At $3.95, it was a little pricey for a hot dog, but the flavor and quality made it worthwhile. This was a great option for a quick, late-night snack while visiting The D. I’m not sure I’d come here specifically for a full meal, but if you’re craving a good Coney Dog, it’s definitely worth stopping by. Overall, I was happy with my first visit and would gladly grab another one when I’m in the mood for a quick bite.— Paul
