  House Made Side Dishes & Really Good Bulgogi

  I’ve been eating at Ilsong Garden for many years and have consistently been happy with both the food and service. The prices are a little higher than some other Korean restaurants in the area, but I think the quality of the house-made side dishes, or banchan, really sets this place apart.
  
  The owners previously operated other Korean restaurants in San Antonio more than a decade ago, and I used to frequent those locations before they were sold. I was excited to discover Ilsong Garden and learn that it was the same owners.
  
  One of my favorite things here is the pickled cucumbers here. They’re excellent, and I’ve even ordered a pint or quart to take home at times. The banchan overall is some of the better I’ve had in San Antonio. While the dinner entrees can be a little pricey, the lunch specials are a good value and account for most of my visits.
  
  Service has been very good on almost every visit, and the food quality has remained consistently excellent, which is what keeps me coming back. Ilsong Garden serves some of the more authentic Korean food you’ll find in San Antonio.
  
  The restaurant is also a nice choice for meeting with business associates. It’s nicely decorated, very clean, and conveniently located in the north-central area, just off the Loop, making it easy to get to.
  
  If you’re looking for authentic Korean food in San Antonio, Ilsong Garden is definitely worth a visit.
